-Hi, my name is Fredy Soto, I study engineering of mines and metallurgy, I ´m 17 years old, i live in Estadio Medellín, my hobbies are playing soccer, playing guitar and sleeping everywhere, in my spare time i wacht tv, my expectations is to pass successfully the level 2 of english and continue with level 3.

Hi my name is Alejandro.I study stadistics. I'm 18 years old. I live in  Belén Medellín. My hobbies are: Meeting with friends, playing voleiball, speedcubing, listening to  Rap and Reggae music, going to the gym...In my spare time I like to do the hobbies  mentioned before. My expectations of the course are: Learning more listening, pronunciation and learn more grammar. I am an honest, unpunctual, generous, humble, lazy, restless and a dreamer person.

Country profile

Chile, its capital is Santiago, has a population of 17,363,894, its currency is the Chilean Peso,
Situated south of Peru and west of Bolivia and Argentina, Chile fills a narrow 2,880-mi strip between the Andes and the Pacific. 
In the area of Norte Grande there is a desert climate, with little rain. Temperatures have slight variations throughout the year, remaining on average around 20 ° C. In coastal areas known as camanchaca abundant cloudiness occurs, while in inland areas the temperature variation is high with no humidity and no clouds, allowing the installation of large observatories astronómicos.237 238 In the highlands, temperatures drop due to the effect of altitude creating a cold steppe climate characterized by summer 
rains, known as plateau winter.




The main chilean tourist attractions correspond to places of natural landscapes in the extreme zones of the country. In the far north, are the group formed by Chungará Lake and Parinacota volcano over 4500 meters, San Pedro de Atacama, the highland lakes, the Valley of the Moon and the geyser field El Tatio, the greater the southern hemisphere and the third world very southern end are the Vicente Perez Rosales national Park, the most visited park in 2011, the archipelago of Chiloe, Patagonia, San Rafael lagoon and glaciers, and the national park Torres del Paine, selected as the eighth wonder of the world in 2013.







The Chilean cuisine arose mix between food of indigenous peoples with the Spanish colonial cuisine and some European influences. The main ingredients in traditional Chilean cuisine own food correspond to the area such as corn, potatoes and tomatoes, among others and products originally brought by the Spaniards like wheat and pork, chicken, beef and lamb.The folk music of Chile is characterized by mixing traditional Indian sounds with those brought from Spain. The cueca, the national dance since 1979.

The beginnings of the Chilean sport are in the palín and linao, sports played by the Mapuche people, in total, Chile has managed thirteen medals: two gold, seven silver and four bronze.
Although its importance has declined in recent years, Roman Catholicism is the predominant belief and enjoys some influence in society.

University of Chile



Chile University accepts foreign students and has an agreement with the DRE of the National University of Colombia.
